Advanced Manufacturing CERT Cell (AM-CERT)

The Advanced Manufacturing CERT Cell (AM-CERT) is a turnkey platform that prepares students for careers in advanced manufacturing by combining FANUC robotics, Rockwell PLCs, safety systems, pneumatics, and a project-based curriculum for a comprehensive solution for teaching hands-on integrated advanced manufacturing.

Industrial automation training, all in one cell.

The Advanced Manufacturing CERT Cell (AM-CERT), developed by APT Manufacturing Solutions in partnership with FANUC and Rockwell Automation, provides a comprehensive training system that combines robotics, PLCs, safety systems, pneumatics, and material handling into one integrated platform.

This flexible trainer is available in multiple configurations with FANUC M10, M20, or CRX collaborative robots, and is equipped with a Rockwell CompactLogix or GuardLogix PLC, PanelView HMI, and optional vision systems. Designed for project-based learning, the AM-CERT delivers real-world training opportunities in robotics integration, machine safety, vision systems, and Industry 4.0.

With its folding perimeter fencing, portable design, and optional conveyor and tool-change features, the AM-CERT adapts to any classroom or lab environment. Students gain industry-relevant experience on the same equipment found in advanced manufacturing facilities worldwide.

Features:

  • FANUC M10iD, M20iA, or CRX-10iA 6-axis robots with R-30iB Plus or Mini Plus controllers
  • Rockwell CompactLogix™ or Compact GuardLogix® PLC with PanelView™ 10” HMI
  • 6 configurable I/O points, integrated pneumatics, and SMC grippers
  • Portable design with folding fencing, pallet jack/forklift mobility, and slide-out programming desk
  • Optional Swivellink® conveyor, area scanner, ATI automatic tool changer, and 2D iRVision
  • Safety interlocks, light curtain/area scan, and collaborative robot operation modes
  • Scalable options for material handling training at both introductory and advanced levels
