AugmentedArc® Augmented Reality Welding System

Realistic augmented reality welding training.

The Miller AugmentedArc® trains students in MIG, TIG, Stick, and flux-cored welding with realistic AR equipment, immediate feedback, and integrated curriculum support.

Welding Simulation that feels like the real thing.

The Miller AugmentedArc® delivers the most realistic multiprocess welding simulation available, blending augmented reality with real-world equipment to train students from beginner to advanced levels. Using authentic MIG, TIG, Stick, and flux-cored welding tools with AR nozzles and coded workpieces, learners practice proper technique in multiple positions, joints, and processes before moving to live arc welding.

AugmentedArc provides immediate visual and audio feedback on travel speed, work angle, aim, and contact tip-to-work distance (CTWD), helping students correct errors and build strong habits. Instructors benefit from reduced consumable costs, shortened training time, and classroom management software that enables custom curriculum, quizzes, progress tracking, and integration with Miller OpenBook™.

With realistic arc sounds, high-fidelity visuals, and a full suite of workpieces, AugmentedArc creates a truly immersive welding environment that prepares students for success in the lab and the workplace.

See how Miller’s training solutions fit every level of instruction and classroom environment, giving you the tools to train the next generation of welders.

Welding training for every level

The Miller’s lineup of training solutions supports every stage of the learning journey. From career exploration to advanced skill development, you can prepare students for successful careers as welders.

Introduction to Welding

MobileArc is designed for career exploration and introductory welding training, making it perfect for outreach events or middle and high school programs. Students gain hands-on experience with safe, simulation-based welding that builds confidence and foundational skills before ever striking an arc.

Intermediate Welding

AugmentedArc blends augmented reality with realistic welding equipment to provide a deeper training experience. Students develop intermediate skills by practicing techniques like MIG and TIG,  positions, and processes in a safe, cost-effective environment that mirrors live welding without consuming materials.

Advanced Welding

LiveArc takes students beyond simulation into real welding, combining augmented guidance with live arc training. This expert-level system helps learners refine technique, improve accuracy, and build the confidence required for industry-ready performance.

Robotic Welding

Welding meets automation by combining Miller welding systems with FANUC robotics. Students learn to operate, program, and integrate robotic weld cells, equipping them with the advanced skills in automation and welding that today’s employers demand.

Planning your Welding Classroom

Start students with simulation-based training to build confidence and muscle memory in a safe environment. Using augmented and virtual systems, they can practice fundamentals and refine techniques before stepping into the live welding lab. Once those skills are developed, transition them into the welding booths, where safety, efficiency, and confidence translate into workforce-ready performance.
