Electric Steering and Suspension System Trainer

Give students hands-on experience with the mechanical and electronic components behind automotive electric power-assisted steering systems. The Electric Steering and Suspension Trainer (764-02) combines real automotive components with ECU control, diagnostic access, electrical measurements, and fault insertion for practical steering and suspension training.

- +

The Electric Steering and Suspension Trainer (764-02) from LJ Create is a fully operational electric power-assisted steering and suspension system. Real automotive components are mounted on a movable steel frame, allowing students to clearly identify and investigate the mechanical and electronic components that work together within the system.

This trainer incorporates an electric power steering rack and ECU alongside the steering column, torsion bar, wishbones, and front hub assemblies. A manufacturer diagnostic socket, pin-out box, ammeter, and six insertable electrical faults allow students to move beyond component identification and develop practical skills in electrical measurement and automotive steering system diagnostics.

Features

  • Fully operational electric power-assisted steering introduces modern automotive steering technology.
  • Real automotive components connect electronic steering control with mechanical suspension systems.
  • Electric power steering ECU provides experience with electronically controlled steering.
  • 16-pin diagnostic socket supports automotive diagnostic equipment.
  • Integrated pin-out box enables real-time electrical measurements without compromising the wiring harness.
  • Built-in ammeter allows students to observe electrical current draw during system operation.
  • Six insertable faults create repeatable electrical troubleshooting scenarios.

Hands-On Automotive Training

LJ Create has an extensive lineup of Automotive learning solutions backed by a digital curriculum to support auto labs in preparing the next generation of automotive talent.

Over 5,000 labs installed across the US

Used in 15,000 institutions worldwide

45+ years in providing learning solutions

AutoLab and ASE

LJ Create’s AutoLab curriculum is aligned to ASE task lists and learning outcomes, helping students build the knowledge and hands-on skills needed for careers as medium/heavy-duty truck technicians.

Each lesson starts with engaging knowledge-based instruction, including presentations, simulations, and investigations to establish a strong foundation. Students then apply what they’ve learned through hands-on training using operational rigs, panel trainers, circuit board trainers, and sectioned trainers.

This framework ensures students develop the confidence and competencies required to meet ASE expectations and succeed in today’s automotive industry.

Dedicated Automotive eLearning Curriculum

AutoLab’s eLearning courses support students from classroom concepts to real-world application through structured, hands-on activities. Available within the AutoLab Digital Library, each lesson includes practical tasks, shop job sheets, safety guidance, and instructor resources that support learning on LJ Create training equipment.

Whether students are working with sectioned trainers, autotronics trainers, operational rigs, or full vehicle trainers, each activity reinforces the ASE-aligned knowledge they’ve already developed. Together, these Skills Lessons help students build the confidence, technical skills, and workplace readiness needed for success in today’s automotive industry.

Automotive Training for Every Level and Class Size

From electrical fundamentals to complete vehicle systems, these training solutions prepare students with the practical skills needed for careers in today’s transportation industry.
