HandySCAN Black Series | 3D Scanner

Metrology-grade precision in a portable handheld scanner.

The HandySCAN 3D BLACK Elite is Creaform’s flagship 3D laser scanner, delivering professional accuracy of 0.025 mm with 11 blue laser crosses that capture 1.3 million measurements per second. Students can perform dimensional inspection, reverse engineering, and quality control with certified ISO 17025 accuracy, making industrial-grade measurement accessible for advanced STEM education and engineering programs.

The HandySCAN 3D BLACK Elite is a metrology-grade portable 3D laser scanner designed to bring professional measurement technology into advanced educational environments. Weighing just 0.94 kg (2.1 lbs) with an ergonomic design, this stand-alone device requires no tripod or external tracking and delivers certified accuracy regardless of environmental conditions. Using 11 blue laser crosses generated by two laser sources, the scanner captures up to 1.3 million measurements per second with automatic real-time mesh generation. The Flex Volume feature allows rapid scanning of large parts from a distance (up to 2.5m) and precise scanning of smaller parts at closer range (0.3m). Dynamic referencing technology means both the scanner and part can move during scanning without affecting accuracy. The included VXelements software suite provides integrated tools for data acquisition, dimensional inspection, scan-to-CAD, and quality control workflows. Each scanner is ISO 17025 certified with personalized calibration documentation. Perfect for postsecondary engineering programs, advanced manufacturing courses, and technical colleges focused on precision measurement and quality assurance.
