Cummins Diesel Trainer Electronically Controlled Common Rail – Automotive Trainer

The Cummins Diesel Trainer – Electronically Controlled Common Rail (MEG550DCR6) is a fully operational Cummins ISB 6-cylinder engine platform designed for advanced diesel diagnostics and electronically controlled fuel system instruction.

The Cummins Diesel Trainer – Electronically Controlled Common Rail (MEG550DCR6) is constructed from a Cummins ISB 6-cylinder diesel engine rated between 250 and 300 HP. This trainer provides comprehensive instruction in electronically controlled common rail diesel fuel injection systems and engine management strategies. The system includes an ECM with integrated sensors, actuators, and controls that replicate real-world heavy-duty diesel operation. Built-in fault simulation enables structured troubleshooting exercises, while the DLC connector supports scan tool diagnostics using Insite software and Virtual College resources.

An integrated Murphy Box instrument panel allows students to monitor engine parameters during operation. Maintenance manuals are included to reinforce OEM-level service and diagnostic procedures. This trainer prepares students for careers in heavy-duty diesel service and electronically controlled fuel system diagnostics.
